Hello beautiful people, me and my team finally made it to Quito and have been here for seventeen life changing, spirit led days, that have been so filled with the joy of the Lord. I have seen God move in the lives of many people, in the most ordinary covid drenched way. There is nothing I love more than to be able to share Gods story of what He’s doing in the world, so let’s get started.

We landed in Quito on January 6th, and I knew God had us exactly where He needed us to be. We get off the plane and God immediately got to work, just through our presence of being there. We were the first group to be sent to go to Ecuador since the pandemic started, almost a year later. First thank you God, Thank you that you didn’t send us anywhere but here, to Ecuador.

Can you see the bus driver, the one that picked us up from the airport, this is the first job he’s had since before covid, before covid! Nobody ever needed a bus before us getting there. Since God has sent us here, this man has more money than he did the day before, thank you God.

Can you see the women, who opened her bathroom to the twenty-eight of us who just ate lunch, in the middle of a park in Quito and needed to use a bathroom. So we rush over there, and just thought it was a normal stop, you know, you pay twenty-five  cents to get toilet paper, use the restroom and leave. As we were waiting in line to go, this women also had many snacks and drinks she had been trying to sell, so of course we bought some. Well little did we know that our presence to use the bathroom, changed her life. This women for months, has barely gotten any profit because of covid to provide for her family. This women then began to thank our ministry host Fabi, for our presence.

I never realized the impact our presence could make on another human. For years I would just go throughout my day , doing my own plans, my own way, instead of allowing God to guide me into his plans for that day. I wonder how many people I passed by on my way to somewhere, that God wanted me to talk to, or maybe bless Them. Maybe these humans were just waiting for someone to talk to them. For months these sweet humans have been praying for something to happen, for anything, for people to go out, as things used to be. Covid has stopped a lot of people from making a simple dollar to provide for their husbands, wives, daughters, and sons. One thing that we can do for people in this time, is just listen to the Lords voice, because He wants to do more than we could ever think or imagine, in the lives of ordinary people, you pass by everyday.

Thank you God for lining up everything the way you wanted it to. For allowing us to meet these beautiful people, to love on your children through a simple thing like buying toilet paper, or riding a bus. Lord I pray that you will open my eyes to see people through your eyes and do what you want with our time here in Quito, cause its your time anyway. Keep guiding us through this city, to do nothing but your will.

Hey you, thank you for reading this and for praying for me and my squad, Gods got so much more in store, I just can’t wait to see what He will do. My prayer for you as you sit on the fact that your presence matters wherever you may be at right now, is that you’ll look for ways to bless someone else just by waving at someone, or smiling through a mask. Your presence is never wasted, the Lord is going to use you and me to do what He wants to do in our world, and that is to love on His people, SIMPLY LOVE. I hope you know that God is moving through you in ways you probably never thought He would, I pray you have eyes to see this, even in a world full of covid.

  UNTIL NEXT TIME – KAITLYN
