If you can imagine with me for a second, a girl who one day falls through a roof and about five days later is walking, running, and is completely healed from all the injuries and hurts in her body… Well here it is.

Well I’m here to share with you the story of how my beautiful team mate, sister, and friend Briana Grover, was touched by the healing power of God:

It was our last week in Ecuador and our squad was tearing down an old house on the base in Quito. It was day one and we were so excited to tear this house down. We split up into different teams and got to work. About an hour in, we hear cracking noises in the roof, and I see before my eyes Bri fall through and land on her back, hit her head, and was now on the ground.

I stand there in complete awe, of course our leaders come running in, the ambulance is called and gets there in a matter of around an hour. The people that witnessed this were overwhelmed, some people in tears, others mad, others praying. She gets on her way to the hospital, and I will take you through the things that came through my mind during this time, things that only my human understanding could comprehend. “Oh she has to be paralyzed, there is no way she is ok.” Little did I know that while I was praying for Bri, the Lord was working for Bri’s good!

While Bri was laying on the concrete floor in that house, probably scared out of her mind, our base host Mabe came out and prayed over her. As she was praying in Spanish, Bri could understand everything she was speaking and the she could also feel the bones in her body come back into place and into alignment like they should be. Wow, thats our God-but he was not done yet.

After spending two days in the hospital, Bri came home back to the base!!! The doctors couldn’t believe it, the doctors were preparing to do surgery on her and cleared all the surgery’s they had on their boards for that day to ensure they could get to her first. They called all the doctors from the surrounding hospitals in Quito to come to help Bri. Well, she didn’t end up needing surgery, she only tore ligaments in her shoulder and foot and had terrible sprains and bruises. She also was in extensive pain and was given medicine stronger than morphine. Im thinking to myself, how is this even possible? Well I sometimes forget that I serve a God who is able to do everything and more than what we ask or plan for, even the unimaginable things.

So here is where the story gets better; Our squad is moves to Guatemala and Bri decides to come with all of us!  This was only four days after she fell! So she does it, she gets on the plane and heads to Guatemala. Now at this point she had a sling for her arm, a neck brace, and a brace for her foot. The day she sets foot in Guatemala she gets completely healed. Gabe, one of the staff members here at the base, prayed over her and after he prayed he told Bri to take off her sling and brace and walk around. So she did, and she could run, jump, play soccer, and the other sports that she had loved doing before! She was able to dance and have fun! The Lord healed Briana!

Thank you for taking the time to read this testimony of our father working in Bri’s life. Thank you sweet Jesus for taking what we could never do, and making something new with it. You did what I never thought I could see, I saw Bri fall, and saw what looked like the end for her world race journey, well you had other plans!

Thanks God for being the ultimate healer, I love you!!! If you don’t know Jesus yet, you should get to know him at some point! I saw God work a miracle that I saw unfold before my eyes! If he can do this, I wonder what more He can do?
