I wish you could see the children run down the hill to the soccer field. I wish you could see the genuine smiles on their faces. I wish you could see the laughs of the boys that could cure any and every kind of depression and anxiety.

I wish you could be apart of a day of soccer practice. This soccer practice happens three times a week. The children who live in San Lorenzo get the opportunity to be apart of a team, a real team. A team made up of coaches who are simply young adults who devote their time to the people here. A team made up of young boys ages 8-16, who will give up anything in order to be apart of this team.

For these young men of God, soccer is the only thing that they look forward in their weeks. A lot of these kids don’t even go to school. Some of them their days look like going to the streets to help their parents sell tortillas, or work at a construction job with their dad. A lot of these kids don’t have the opportunity to simply be kids, but during soccer these kids come alive and are filled up with joy as kids are supposed to be.

During practice it’s not just about kicking a ball, it’s about teaching the kids that they can be something with their lives. Teaching them that it starts with a relationship with their father in heaven.

Wow thanks God for this ministry and for these kids whoa re going to change our world. One soccer goal at a time! Soccer is more than kicking a ball, its about changing lives.

Thank you for taking time to read this blog. One thing that you can be praying for is the young men and women who make up these soccer teams.
